If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?
“In the tapestry of language, let us weave threads of empowerment, resilience, and boundless possibility, guided by the light of Dharma and fueled by the infinite potential of the human spirit.”
– Krishna Moorthy M
In a world where words hold immense power, the choice of language can either inspire greatness or perpetuate limitations. If given the opportunity to permanently banish a word from general usage, I would unequivocally choose to eliminate “Impossible.” This word, born from the seeds of nonchalant ignorance of Dharma, serves as a formidable barrier to progress, stifling innovation, and impeding personal growth.
Breaking the Shackles of Limitation – “Impossible”
At the heart of the decision to banish “Impossible” lies a profound commitment to liberation from the shackles of self-imposed limitations. Too often, individuals succumb to the belief that certain dreams are unattainable, certain goals insurmountable, and certain challenges impossible to overcome. Yet, it is precisely this mindset of resignation that perpetuates stagnation and stifles potential.
Embracing the Spirit of Dharma – “Possible”
In the teachings of Dharma – the righteous path – lies the antidote to the paralyzing grip of impossibility. Dharma teaches us that every individual possesses the innate potential for greatness, and every endeavor, no matter how daunting, is imbued with the possibility of success. By embracing the spirit of Dharma, we transcend the limitations of the mind and tap into a reservoir of infinite potential.
Empowering Alternatives – “Possibilities”
In place of “Impossible,” let us cultivate a lexicon of empowerment, resilience, and possibility. Let us replace “I can’t” with “I will,” “I won’t” with “I choose,” and “I give up” with “I persevere.” By reframing our language to reflect a mindset of empowerment and possibility, we unleash the full force of our creative potential and pave the way for transformative change.
Championing Inclusivity and Equality – “Possible”
While “Impossible” is a formidable adversary on the path to personal growth, it is not the only word that perpetuates limitations. “Discrimination” and “Can’t,” born from the same seeds of nonchalant ignorance of Dharma, also wield destructive power, fueling prejudice, inequality, and self-doubt.
By banishing these words from our vocabulary, we dismantle the barriers that divide us and sow the seeds of unity, inclusivity, and equality. Let us replace discrimination with acceptance, “Can’t” with “Can,” and ignorance with understanding. In doing so, we create a world where every individual is valued, every dream is within reach, and every obstacle is an opportunity for growth.
